Master in Information Security

The programme is offered in a flexible manner to fit well to all the target groups of students (fulltime- and part-time-students, on-campus and remote students). In general, on campus presence is required  only three times per semester , for a start-up seminar, for mid-term exams/presentations and for final exams/presentations. Attendance is also strongly recommended for the initial first two weeks of the programme preparatory intense short-courses are offered  . All courses are available online, but there will also be sessions on-campus on a regular weekly or bi-weekly schedule . The presence on these sessions is not required. In some courses there will be mandatory exercises and/or seminars (look for details in course table/course descriptions).

Most of the courses in the master´s program are 5 credit-courses. All courses are run through Autumn semester (”H” in course table) or Spring semester (”V” in course table), not both semesters. Five credit courses are usually run for first or second part of the semester (8-10 weeks period), 10 credits courses are run throughout the whole semester. The exams are concentrated in two periods per semester (courses with written or oral exam which requires presence in Gjøvik).

At the end of the master program the course in Research Project Planning (IMT4601) and Master thesis require presence in seminars, presentations etc.
