Expected learning outcomes
The student:
- has understanding of the field of psychology and knows the central perspectives in modern psychology
- has understanding of group processes’ significance for learning and collaboration
- is familiar with the psychological development of human beings
- is familiar with theories of stress, crises and coping and connects these to concrete situations
- is familiar with the main factors in personality psychology
- explains the significance of social roles in human interaction and the impact this has on health and quality of life
- accounts for culture as a framework of interpretation and culture-sensitive healthcare
- demonstrates power and powerlessness as phenomena in both individual and societal perspectives
- describes the welfare state as a context for public health and professional practice
- uses social science concepts in a scientific way
