Expected learning outcomes
The student shall aquire understanding and ability to apply knowledge in some basic subjects in mathematics, relevant to information science.
Topic(s)
Polynomial functions, rational functions, logarithms and exponentials.
Limits, continuity, differentiation, integration.
Trigonometry.
Vectors in dimension 2 and 3, components, scalar product, vector product.
Set theory: Basics, relations, relation algebra
Linear algebra: Matrices and linear transformations.
Graphs, trees and transport networks.
