Expected learning outcomes

After completing the course, the students shall have an understanding of the inner structures of database-driven systems for electronic publishing and content-based retrieval. The students shall be able to use and develop meta-data models and standards to be used for publishing different types of media data. In addition, the students shall be able to evaluate and analyze solutions for storing and retrieving XML-encoded and textual data stored in fulltext formats.
