Expected learning outcomes
The student is going to be, through preparation for clinical practice and skill training, prepared to practice manual skills on level A, B, C and D.
The student is going to get experience with group processes and group dynamics, show insight into how to meet the suicidal patient and knowledge about ego-supportive nursing prinsips to patients with different diagnosis.
The student will have knowledge about, and show insight into, how to meet the patients relatives.
The student is going to actively participate in documentation in practise.
The student have tried to use etical theory in practise.
The student will have knowledge about pre-, per- and post-surgical nursing.
Preparation to and reflection upon supervised practicum in medical, surgical and mental health wards.
Manual skills: movement technics, injections, catheterisation, implementation and care of catheter in a venous line, administration of infusions and infusion pumps, wound treatment, care of central venous catheter, care of drain, contamination, oxygen threatment, suction, hospital hygiene, CPR, first aid, total parenteral nutrition, anestetics, observation of epidural catether and one day with procedural training. Pre-, per- and post-surgical nursing.
Group dynamics, group processes/conflictsolving, suicidalproblem, nursing to the patients relatives, ego-supporting nursing princips, documentation of nursing and etics.
