The Study Committee
Mandate:
- Prepare criteria for approval, procedures and templates for studies at GUC
- Approval of new programmes to the curriculum with accompanying subject descriptions, including masters and PhD studies
- Approval of revisions and changes to existing programmes in the curriculum with accompanying subject descriptions, including masters and PhD studies
- Approval of separate subjects and courses not a part of established study programmes
- Lay down guidelines for exams and use of examiners
- Select and implement cyclic quality evaluations of studies at GUC following the criteria from NOKUTs regulations and associated guidelines – the Norwegian Agency for Quality Assurance in Education
- Deliver annual quality reports to the Board
Composition
- Prorector – head of the Study Committee
- Four representatives from the academic staff
- Two students nominated by the Student Parliament
- One representative from the technical/administrative staff
- Secretariat: 2 executive officers from the Section of Academic Affairs and Research
Director of Academic Affairs and Research has the right to meet and speak.
