This course teaches all-round expertise in land surveying at a standard between the former engineer and university levels. Sufficient knowledge and skills are acquired to be able to perform more advanced tasks, and to understand the management and leadership functions involved in all kinds of surveying operations.
The combination of theoretical basis and practical skills give students the ability and perspective to see the overall picture involved in the processing of data and presentation of geographic information.
The programme is planned with a mix of lectures and exercises with staff guidance and support, combined with students' independent private studies reading, completing assignments and practical tasks using instruments and associated software. A land surveying exercise is carried out during September/October.
