The One Year Course in Economics and Business Administration is equivalent to the first year of Bachelor of Economics and Business Administration. The program provides a basic introduction to economics and management and is suitable as an introduction for further study, or as a supplement to education in most subject areas. Understanding economics, management and marketing is useful regardless of profession.
Further studies
The economics and management course is easy to combine with other programmes, and on completion qualifies for direct entry to the second year of Bachelor of Economics and Business Administration, Bachelor of Media Management, or Bachelor of Technology Design and Management at Gjøvik University College.
Job prospects
This programme provides the foundations in a large and complex field, but is not alone a sufficient basis for meeting career requirements. Completing this programme will be most rewarding and useful when in combination with earlier studies, work experience or further studies, such as two-year additional programme to obtain an appropriate Bachelor Degree.
