Official opening of the academic year 2011 for new students is August 17th* from 09:30 in the tent on the football field.

Existing students begin Monday 15th of August in accordance with the scheduled timetable.

Program 17th of August:

Attendance from 09:30, the program begins at 10:00

• Welcome by rector Jørn Wroldsen
• Greetings from mayor Bjørn Iddberg
• Music
• Greetings from the leader of the Student Parliament
• Music

After the speeches, greetings and entertainment, the students are divided into buddy groups and are given a guided tour of the campus.

At 13:00 the new studens are followed by their buddies to the reception at each faculty.

International students:

12th of August it is a start-up meeting for all international students. Start-up meeting for international students 12th of August 10-15 is the start-up meeting for all new international students, both exchange students and programme students. Program for the day includes a walk from Sørbyen student housing over to campus, information meeting, information about the computer labs, issue student cards and information about the library.
