Semester registration

Semester fee
Each semester you will get an invoice with the semester fee. A bank invoice credit slip is sent by post to all new students. All other students will find the invoice on studentweb. Loans and grants from the State Educational Loan Fund (Lånekassen) are not paid out before the semester fee is paid. As an Erasmus exchange student you do not pay semester fees. -
Personal user account
Activate your personal user account here: https://minside.hig.no/student/ .You will get access to computers, Fronter, e-mail, GUC’s buildings and wireless network. -
Educational plan
The educational plan is a tool for students and GUC to plan and ensure the successful completion of your studies at GUC. All students at GUC have an educational plan, the plan shows which courses you are attending during the present semester. The educational plan must be approved each semester within given deadlines, 15th of September in the autumn and 15th of February in the spring.

Student card/Semester sticker
During the semester start you will receive information about taking your photo and getting your student card. The student card is valid only when you have a semester sticker on it (new sticker at the start of each semester). You receive a semester sticker after having paid the semester fee* and you will get it in the student information desk when the fee is registered in our systems. Processing of your payment can take a few days.
The student card also gives you access to GUC’s buildings and rooms, and is also used as a library card.
*Erasmus exchange students do not pay semester fees. You should still get a semester sticker on your card when picking it up!
The State Educational Loan Fund (Lånekassen)
Students entitled to grants and loans from the State Educational Loan Fund can apply for grants and loans as soon as you have been accepted at Gjøvik University College. Use the web application form at www.lanekassen.no . It is the student’s own responsibility to know Lånekassens regulations and deadlines. On «Your pages» at www.lanekassen.no you can find information and apply for a grants and loans.
Parking
There are some parking lots at campus. It is recommended to park in the parking house at Kallerud. All students and employees need a parking disk. You will get it in the student information centre.
