GUC / Student / Parking

Parking

Gjøvik University College has relatively good parking spaces. The employees have their parking spaces mostly near the entrance to the buildings. All locations that are intended for the employees, is marked 'reserved' and a continuous number. Students have parking facilities at the D-and G-building. In the winter the football ground is also adapted for parking. There is also parking facilities at Kallerud Hall.

Parking discs

Students and employees who park in spaces marked by GUC, have to have visible parking disc in the car.

Discs to students are handed out in the Student centre. Employees receive their discs from the switchboard.

The parking disc does not guarantee inclusion, but gives permission to park on the legal selection. There are separate references for reserved seats for employees. The roads at the school are local and subject to the municipal parking system. Be especially aware that the disc do not provide access to the asphalt rally car park at Gjøvik Technical School. The new car park at the Kallerud Hall is open to those who have discs.

Visitors

Visitors must have a parkingpermit, this is available at the Student centre in the G-building.

Illegal parking

Cars parked incorrectly, either at GUC or the other places, you may be towed away and must pay a fine. The University College is responsible for keeping open the passages for emergency vehicles and transport of goods. If your car block such passages, towing away will be put into effect without warning.
