Radiography

The department of radiography holds the responsibility for educations, research, and progress within radiography and health technology. Headwords for these educations are:

  • Problem-oriented learning as a basic educational method
  • Good practice positions
  • An active student environment
  • A good learning environment in modern and well-equipped premises
  • Virtual tours in the radiography laboratories
  • The simulation center

Radiography

The radiographs are the photographs of public health services. They are responsible for x-ray-pictures, CT-pictures and MR-pictures based on reference from doctors. The department offers bachelor and postgraduate studies in radiography.

Health technology

Health educational subjects and technology subjects have traditionally been different cultures with limited contact. Even with the use of advanced technology in public health services, there have been relatively clear divisions. Now it seems like this is about to change, both based on the needs and increased expectations to public health services, as well as new opportunities with new technology. That’s why the department is given a special responsibility to develop the area of health technology at Gjøvik University College.
