Bilde av Monika Solberg og Torbjørn Skogsrød5th of November, Totens Sparebank presented a 300 000, - kroner gift to GUC and the Bachelor degree in Economics and Business Administration. - This is very valuable for GUC and helps to maintain the program, said Rector Jørn Wroldsen.

Ever since GUC started the program in 2007, due to the closing down of BI Gjøvik (Norwegian School of Management), there has been a desire to achieve financial funding for this study, as a part of the basic allocation from the state budget. Apart from the 10 study places allocated in previous years, this program has not granted any basic allocation. Currently, GUC has over 130 students in Economics and Business Administration.
- Historically, there is a tradition of higher economic education in Gjøvik, and the business community and the region has made it quite clear that this is a study program we need in the region, says Rector Jørn Wroldsen.

Currently, GUC offers Economics and Business Administration with the options for specialization in internationalization and marketing, industry and commerce or IT management. Dean of the Department of Engineering, Economics and Business Administration (TØL), Torbjørn Skogsrød, can also tell about a new exciting master degree that is being planned. The bachelor degree on Economics and Business Administration is supposed to be a basis for this master degree.
