New agreement signed

The rectors at Gjøvik University College, Lillehammer University College and Hedmark University College, have signed a agreement to collaborate to establish a university of Oppland and Hedmark county.

The original aim was to send an application for university status within 2012. In the new agreement the progress is adjusted, and application for university status shall be sent within 1st of January 2014.

- I am happy to have signed the agreement. It is a necessary foundation for the important work the University Project Board is going to initiate into the new year, and will have full pressure in 2011, says Rector Jørn Wroldsen at Gjøvik University College.
