NISlab is arranging scientific seminar every two weeks. -The main idea behind this seminar is to give people, especially phd-students, a place to bring up their challenges in research for a larger audience, says assistant professor Patrick Bours at NISlab.
The first seminar was arranged Friday 12th of February. Phd-student Hai Thanh Nguyen gave a test lecuture “Improving Effectiveness of Intrusion Detection by Correlation Feature Selection“, before he attended a conference in Poland with this lecture. -I would say that the seminar was a great chance for me as PhD student to present, discuss and get responses on my lecture, Nguyen says.
The second speaker, Mohammad Derawi, presented problems he encountered during the analysis of his gait data. -The seminar for me was very useful and helpful with some good comments from the audience. I was very delighted that more than 20 people attended. Furthermore, I also liked that external people from the scientific park and probably also from other places attended and asked questions as well.
The next scientific seminar will be arranged Friday 26th of February from 12.30 to 13.30 in K109. Davrondzhon Garufov presents “Future Fingerprint Research on the TURBINE Database”.
Everybody is welcome to join.
