The student:

  • has understanding of the field of psychology and knows the central perspectives in modern psychology
  • has understanding of group processes’ significance for learning and collaboration
  • is familiar with the psychological development of human beings
  • is familiar with theories of stress, crises and coping and connects these to concrete situations
  • is familiar with the main factors in personality psychology
  • explains the significance of social roles in human interaction and the impact this has on health and quality of life
  • accounts for culture as a framework of interpretation and culture-sensitive healthcare
  • demonstrates power and powerlessness as phenomena in both individual and societal perspectives
  • describes the welfare state as a context for public health and professional practice
  • uses social science concepts in a scientific way
