IMT1431 "Designmetoder" or equivalent course.

Expected learning outcomes

After the course the student should be able to:

Knowledge
    •     analyze and discuss the knowledge contribution from a design process (design as research)
    •     analyze and evaluate different designs according to their creative and innovative contribution
    •     account for theories about design thinking

Skills
    •     design innovative products or services using a structured, iterative process
    •     apply methods for creating and developing ideas and prototypes in practical design processes

General competence
    •     participate as a productive member in group projects

The course will normally be taught through a series of intensive seminars. Each seminar will normally consist of 4 seminardays. A total of 3 seminars.

  • Compulsory participation in 75% of the seminar days
  • 2 compulsory assignments must be approved in order to be allowed to hand in the final project
