Expected learning outcomes

Capstone web projects (I-III) are practical development projects that supplement or continue the topics from the ordinary course portfolio in the program. The aim is for the students to be better web developers with practical experience in the industry, as well as typical approaches to new, and anticipated future methods for development of active web solutions.

Topic(s)

As long it is practically possible, the project assignments will be given by the companies the study program are cooperating with, and will mainly be related to the company's own web development projects. It will be adapted for close cooperation with the company and it may be possible to work together with the company in their offices in periods.

Capstone web projects II will focus on innovative processes and entrepreneurship.

The capstone web project (I-III) may include conceptual problem solving, development of production platforms, implementation and development of technical media solutions, implementation and development of user-centred media and innovative communication solutions.

If appropriate it can be offered resource lectures. In general, the lecturing is based on regular process and project supervision and/or formative, iterative guidance.
