Expected learning outcomes

The students shall:
- manage digitizing on physical models and using this information in building models
- have theoretical knowledge and practical skill in methods for surface modelling
- have knowledge how to make physical prototypes
- fullfill a project using abovementioned knowledge and skills


1. Scanning and digitizing on physical models
2. Base elements in surface modelling using Rhinoceros and the use of surfaces in Solid modelling
3. Methodes for using scanning results in surface models
4. Optimization of models for Rapid Prototyping
5. Methods for Rapid Prototyping and Rapid Tooling from 3D models
