Expected learning outcomes
The Pre-project shall prepare the students to perform their master thesis on time, and with the expected quality.
Having completed the course, the student should have acquired:
- An understanding of academic writing style and documentation structure.
- The ability to formulate a research problem and research questions.
- An understanding of ethical issues in research.

Final report counts 100%. Each student must hand in his/her own individual report.
To ensure fairness, course deliverable grading will depend on deliverable quantity, quality and the number of contributing students.
Scores can be normalized at the discretion of the instructor/examiner.
Grading Scale
Alphabetical Scale, A(best) – F (fail)
External/internal examiner
Internal examiner+External examiner on the final report.
Re-sit examination
The whole course must be repeated.
Coursework Requirements
Participate in at least 7 meetings with supervisor. Electronic meetings are possible. Hand in status reports for students project to supervisor before each meeting.
