Expected learning outcomes
Capstone web projects (I-III) are practical development projects that supplement or continue the topics from the ordinary course portfolio in the program. The aim is for the students to be better web developers with practical experience in the industry, as well as typical approaches to new, and anticipated future methods for development of active web solutions.
The topic for the capstone project can be selected within the range of the courses offered by the media technology staff at Department of Informatics and Media Technology.Topics may be interactive multimedia and the development of production platforms, technical media solutions, user-centric publishing media and innovative communications solutions.The capstone web project (I-III) may include conceptual problem solving, development of production platforms, implementation and development of technical media solutions, implementation and development of user-centred media and innovative communication solutions.

If appropriate it can be offered resource lectures. In general, the lecturing is based on regular process and project supervision and/or formative, iterative guidance.

Summative assessment by the end of the course: Pass / fail. Project/projects are part of a temporary working folder, and can later be included in a final showcase portfolio which is assessed by internal and external examiners at the end of the semester the third and final year (grade scale A-F).
By "fail" the project can be improved and re-evaluated in subsequent semester (by arrangement with course coordinator).
