Geographical Information Technology

Expected learning outcomes

A student completing this course will have a broad and clear understanding of the whole process including geographical information modelling, building the geodatabase, basics of geographical information analyses, presentation of geographcial information in the form of maps, charts and tables. Additionally, students will be familiar with the use of specialized GIS and data base software.

The portifolio Assessment is based on a portifolio consisting of 4 group based handins and an individual oral examination. The grading is a total evaluation based on 3 selected handins (1 choosen by the student and 2 by the teacher), and the oral examination.
