Expected learning outcomes

The students will after ended course have knowledge of the basic principles of how the geographical reality can be represented in digital form, and be able to operate GIS software.


Following parts from GEO1121 GIS Intro are used:

  • Introduction to GIS
  • Projections and Coordinate Systems
  • Vector data Structure
  • Databases
  • Visualization
