Expected learning outcomes

Having completed the course, the students will

  • Have knowledge and understanding of the mathematical methods commonly used for representing and compressing media data
  • Be able to apply the mathematical techniques to simplified problems of relevance to media technology
  • Be able to implement the mathematical methods in suitable programming languages.
