Expected learning outcomes

By the end of the programme, the students will have a broad theoretical and practical knowledge of land surveying for use in different situations. They will have ability in the use and care of survey instruments and specialist computer programmes available in the branch as well as being able to follow maps at user level.

They will also have the ability to carry out more complicated tasks and assume a leadership role in land survey in small and medium local authorities or the equivalent.

Admission Criteria

To be qualified for admission the applicants must have completed either:

  • 3-year upper secondary shool with mapping/surveyingor
  • 2-year technical vocational school (Teknisk Fagskole)or
  • 2 years of higher education with at least 5 ECTS credits in EDP and 10 ECTS credits in mathematics or statistics.
