Undergraduate programme leading to a Bachelor's degree.

The engineering programmes are based on a framework plan approved by the Norwegian Ministry of Education and Research.

Expected learning outcomes

The study programme will give students a solid basic knowledge in electronics and telecommunications.

On completion of the three years, they qualify for admission to a further year at NTNU or the equivalent, in or out of the country, or to seek work in private or official capacities within the electronics industry, IT or other firms dealing with planning, development and operating of electronics of all types.

The telecommunications specialisation aims to give students knowledge and ability in planning, calculating and operating of modern telecommunications equipment and systems.

The electronic micro-data specialisation aims to give students knowledge and ability in the development of modern electronic systems where the use of micro-processors and micro-controllers are natural components and so focuses on programme development.

Internationalization

The language of instruction is Norwegian with the exception of some courses where the presence of foreign students makes the use of English preferable.

The Norwegian students can take a semester abroad in the second year of the programme.

Admission Criteria

General matriculation standard with special requirements in mathematics (3MX) and physics (2FY).
