Expected learning outcomes

After completing the course, the students shall:

  • be familiar with established thinking, terminology and concepts related to the use of new media and new technology
  • be familiar with the historical development towards media convergence and the world-wide web
  • be able to recognize similarities and differences among different media, genres and technologies
  • be able to analyze the role that information and communication technologies play in society
  • be able to discuss the impact that introduction of digital media technology has on end-users, organizations and society
