Gjøvik University College (HIG), Hedmark University College (HiHm) and Lillehammer University College (Hil) cooperates with Oppland and Hedmark county municipality about the university project of Oppland and Hedmark county.

The aim of the project is to be able to submit applications for university status within 1.1.2013. The university shall be a close, modern and creative university. There will be a modern network institution that offers a close and competent teaching- and student environment.
